We turn English (and sometimes other languages) into Swedish
POW Localisation AB – or Play on Words for short – was founded in 2014 by two industry veterans as a one-stop solution for Swedish video game localisation. Since then, we’ve grown into a team of eight, translating over 40 million words across hundreds of titles: indie gems, blockbuster franchises, storefronts, UI strings, lore dumps and achievement puns alike.
We take pride in knowing our audience, choosing the right words, and staying invisible when it counts. Our job is to make sure your game feels like it was made in Swedish, not just translated into it. Add to that a reliable workflow, a fondness for details and the occasional unhealthy obsession with ellipses, semicolons and en-dashes, and you’ve got us in a nutshell.
